Springbrook News & Updates

Come and see the Toadeo!

Tiny adult toads emerge from wetland in masses during midsummer. Watch
your step on the trails at Springbrook and look for hundreds of tiny
toads as they head towards the forests. Their size can range from smaller than a fingernail to the size of a quarter!

Calling all pumpkin carvers!

Do you have a group that wants to get creative, work together and enjoy a fantastic fall event? Sign up to create a pumpkin display for our Jack-O-Lantern trail this October for Pumpkin Night in the Park. We will provide your group with 30 pumpkins to create a visual display.

This is a great opportunity for student groups, community groups and businesses looking for advertising or team building avenues! For more information, visit our website or call Springbrook Nature Center at 763-572-3588.

Update: New Picnic Pavilion

If you've been out to Springbrook in the past few weeks, you've likely noticed the orange fencing and giant piles of soil in our front yard! Things are in the works for our new picnic pavilion. Construction will be on-going throughout the summer, with project completion tentatively set for fall.
